Frequently Asked Questions

The most common questions on sample acceptance, turnaround times, the official standing of the report and the accreditation scope.

Samples and turnaround

Who takes the sample? Can I bring it myself?

The sample is taken by the person responsible at your facility and brought to the laboratory. What matters is that the sampling location, sample type, date and time are recorded, and that the sample arrives at a suitable temperature with its packaging intact.

These conditions are checked at reception. A non-conforming sample is rejected and the reason reported.

How long do results take?

On average 5–7 days for general analyses. Legionella analysis takes 10 working days because of the incubation period the method requires.

Results appear in your online results account the moment authorised approval is given in the laboratory; no further action is needed from you.

Reports

Does the report I download count as an official document?

Yes. The PDF you download is the official document itself, bearing the Ministry heading, the TÜRKAK accreditation statement, the registration number and signatures — not a copy redrawn in the portal. This is the document used in inspections, tenders and official correspondence.

How is the limit value in the report determined?

The limit value applicable to each analysis is taken from the regulation in force covering that sample type. Food microbiology is assessed against the Turkish Food Codex Regulation on Microbiological Criteria, and pool water against the Ministry of Health swimming pool legislation.

The same parameter may be subject to a different limit for a different sample type; the compliance decision is therefore made per analysis and stated in the report together with the measured value.

Accreditation and scope

Which analyses are within the accreditation scope?

The accreditation status is marked next to every row in our analysis catalogue; you can filter the catalogue with the "accredited analyses only" switch.

The current and binding scope is stated in our TÜRKAK accreditation certificates on the Documents page.

You have two laboratories; which one should I use?

Lab Premium Antalya serves facilities in the Mediterranean region, and Lab Premium Likya (Fethiye) those in the Aegean region. Both are TÜRKAK accredited; their analysis scopes differ in part.

By filtering the catalogue by laboratory you can see which laboratory performs the analysis you need, and contact that laboratory directly from the contact page.

General

Can other facilities see my data?

No. The confidentiality of customer information is a written commitment of our quality system; in the online results system each account sees only its own facility’s data.

Can I object to a result?

Yes. Complaints and objections are recorded and assessed according to a written procedure; the assessment is carried out by personnel who were not involved in the analysis concerned.

Our complaint forms and procedures can be downloaded per laboratory from the Documents page.

How do I request a quotation?

You can select the parameters you need from the analysis catalogue and create a quotation request, or fill in the Analysis Quotation and Request Form and send it to us.

Stating your facility type (hotel, production plant, mass catering) and the number of samples speeds up the quotation.
